Description by OLDIES.com:
Reporter Swifty Taylor is covering the biggest prizefight of the year when crime-busting District Attorney Sutherland is murdered in front of hundreds of shocked spectators. The D.A. vowed to bring down one of the city's "biggest racketeers," leaving the police with a slew of suspects who wanted him dead. When the official investigation grinds to a halt, Swifty presents a cunning scheme that will force the killer to reveal himself, live on-the-air, during his next broadcast!
Fiery redhead Inez Courtney co-stars as Julie in this Monogram whodunit. Courtney went from Broadway musical fame in the 1920s to Hollywood in the 1930s. She would appear in 58 films in the next decade, often as the comedic sidekick to Jean Harlow or Ginger Rogers, including memorable roles in The Raven (1935), Suzy (1936) and The Shop Around The Corner (1940). She retired to Rome, in 1940, with her wealthy aristocratic husband, Luigi Filiesi.
Product Description:
Weldon Heyburn, poverty row's answer to Clark Gable, stars in this whodunit, in which the victim, a crusading district attorney (William Gould), is murdered by a dart laced with curare while attending a prizefight. The D.A., Sutherland, was about to arrest yet another gangland boss in a crackdown that hitherto had netted an even dozen. But is the gang behind the murder or is someone else responsible' Radio personality Swifty Taylor (Heyburn) discovers the truth and is about to announce the murderer's identity on the air when yet another killing occurs.
