Rating: 2/5 -- The second half is merely morbid runaround, punctuating its soundtrack crashes with self-justifying footnotes on historical misogyny. Full Review

Rating: 9/10 -- The Autopsy Of Jane Doe is a terrifically, consistently scary horror movie. Full Review

3 stars out of 5 -- It’s hard to think of another film that has brought such lip-smacking relish to its sound design. A superior cast adds to the fun, as does the production design...

Rating: 5/5 -- Watching Autopsy was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I left the cinema needing a hug, a cup of tea and a cry. What more could you want from a horror film? Full Review

4 stars out of 5 -- [I]t mixes suspense with black comedy, a high level of gore and spooky mystery.

Gruesome without being gory, THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE achieves real scares with a minimum of special effects. The colors are dark and dense, and the acting is modestly downbeat.

Product Description:

Father-and-son coroners (Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch) must perform an immediate autopsy on a "Jane Doe" corpse found in the basement of a home where a family was killed. However, they are attacked by supernatural forces as they examine the extent of her injuries, which suggest ritualistic torture. Ophelia Lovibond, Michael McElhatton, and Olwen Kelly co-star. Directed by André Ovredal.
